A bit of a different kind of bird than you usually see me post. A group of American coots were hanging out on the ice where I was photographing a bald eagle yesterday and I decided they were worthy of some attention. These guys are quite common here, oftentimes hanging out among geese and ducks. They are quite distinctive with their red eyes, white bill and, clearly, those goofy green legs and feet.
