A morning with the red dogs – finally

My recent visits to the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge have been lacking opportunities to see the baby bison. They just have not been hanging out close. This past Sunday, that changed with the bulk of the herd being close and near the road.

I don’t know how many calves there were but there were a bunch this year, maybe two dozen that I could see in this one spot. A bumper crop! As always, they were absolutely cute as heck.
