Feathery clouds over the Snowy Range

A fun excursion in our side by side while camping in Medicine Bow National Forest this past week. The area we were didn’t provide much in the way of mountain vistas, just forested land. Wanting to see more, we headed north over some fun, sometimes quite rocky, terrain 30 miles or so to take in this view.

The Snowy Range sits west of Laramie and is striking in its gray color, a result of it being composed of quartzite. The deep blue skies above and that cool, “feather cloud” shooting up provided for a beautiful scene.
