Frosty trees and cool skies

The winter on the Colorado Front Range has been ridiculously mild and dry so far. It appears with the new year, Mother Nature is finally allowing the cold in. Yesterday morning saw temperatures in the teens and a thick coating of frost on the landscape.

I feel like I struggled to adequately capture the scene but did have a few okay captures, this being one of them. I liked the frost covered branches and how their white stood in stark contrast to the brown trunks. That sky behind was calm and a pleasant pale blue adding to the scene.
