
A gorgeous Sunday morning last week in Rocky Mountain National Park. I almost skipped this spot as the previous day had been kind of a dud but, as I emerged from the RV to head out, I saw the clouds and figured it was worth a shot. Indeed, it paid off.
Hiking in the dark, I found a spot and just sat, waiting for what I hoped would be a good show. Soon, the sun began to light things up, turning the clouds orange and red with that deep blue behind them. Topping it off, a near perfect reflection of the show above on the lake’s surface below. Yup, scenes like this are why I get up so early!
