Lone tree on the foggy Great Plains

Going back to early last month. The weather was not particularly conducive to wildlife photography as the fog was ridiculously thick preventing anything resembling a clear shot. As a result, I changed my focus (pun intended) to seeing what I could do with the fog-shrouded landscape.

This tree wasn’t all that far off in the distance and the fog was dense enough that the scene behind it disappeared. A conversion to black and white eliminated what little color there was and makes the capture a bit more moody.
