Rays of sun in the eastern sky for #SunriseSunday. A fantastic way to start the day one week ago today. Normally the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge doesn’t open till sunrise, something they started a few years ago. That is a bummer because usually the best part of sunrise is actually 10 to 20 minutes before the sun crests the horizon. On this day, a worker arrived and opened the gates a little bit early, allowing me to get into position to capture this gorgeous scene. Awesome!
