Not seeing a lot of eagle action and growing anxious, I started training my camera on some of the scenery around me. That was easy to do as the scene before me was quite pleasing. The rising sun had lit up the landscape in golden light. The nearby foothills looked warm and in the distance, the towering, snow-covered peaks of Mount Meeker and Longs Peak. Yeah, there may not have been an eagle in the shot but I will happily take in views like this.
