The lack of thunderstorms and precipitation here along the Colorado Front Range has been very disappointing. Our water supplies are running low and the drought is worsening. This lack of weather excitement also has given me no reason to put my drone in the air – until yesterday.
Scattered thunderstorms developed and after they dropped a bit of rain at my place, the storm cell continued on to the southeast. The drone was able to capture some cool pics of this beautiful storm. Mammatus clouds are above and shafts of rain are seen falling from the core. It was pretty cool but Mother Nature really needs to help out and bring us more of it!
