Sun dog colors the eastern sky

Whenever it gets as cold as it is right now in the Denver area, I am on the lookout for these cool atmospheric effects. Yesterday morning, this one appeared in the 8-degree temperatures and while not as good as some others I have captured, it was a cool (COLD!) scene.

Sun dogs are caused by the refraction of light by hexagon shaped ice crystals and appear 22 degrees to each side of the sun.
