Any guesses who has been dipping into the powdered sugar donuts?

Well, okay, maybe just the snow. My Thanksgiving Day photo excursion covered a lot of miles, unwittingly ending up in Estes Park. Figuring we may as well see what we could find while there, my friend and I did some driving around.

Not much was available, but this handsome bull elk was kind enough to make an appearance. It was pushing aside the snow with its snout to get to the grass, resulting in a snow-stache of sorts. He was impressive with his 6×6 rack and I have to believe he was a contender in this fall’s rut.
