Not an ideal angle but, boy, kind of a cool one. I went and checked out my second favorite bald eagle nest this past weekend and while it was a challenging visit, I managed some okay shots. Most of the action occurred in dim light as thick clouds obscured the rising sun for quite a while. Once the sun came out, the male headed off to hunt and the female wasn’t overly cooperative. She did, however, fly from the nest to a tree near where I was, allowing me this shot. The gold leaves were absolutely radiant and really helped to light her up. Have a fantastic, weekend!
