What better way to spend a beautiful spring morning than soaking up the sun, enjoying the quiet along the river? That would seem to be what this beautiful bald eagle was doing this past April. I was visiting my favorite eagle nest and while mama was keeping her little ones warm, dad was hanging out above the family home chilling out and looking quite regal.
Eagles will sit like this sometimes to either cool down when it is hot or dry off after fishing. It is kind of fun and makes for a different pose than you normally see from them.
