Taken in Adams County, Colorado this past Sunday. I simply cannot get enough of these majestic creatures.
Some months ago my daughter brought to my attention a poem by Alfred Tennyson that I find most fitting:
The Eagle
He clasps the crag with crooked hands;
Close to the sun in lonely lands,
Ring’d with the azure world, he stands.The wrinkled sea beneath him crawls;
He watches from his mountain walls,
And like a thunderbolt he falls.
