This eagle caught my friend and I quite by surprise. We stopped along a road to watch its mate that was a good ways off when suddenly, this one flew out the tree right by where we were parked. It perched on a nearby pole but then jumped into action again, giving me this shot. The way it was looking at the ground I suspect it may have dropped a meal but it all happened so fast, I never saw it if it did.
