There are spots out at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge where if things work out, you can capture cool scenes with the skyline of Denver in the background. This was one of those spots and one of those times.
This handsome mule deer buck had just crested the hill and paused, giving a very strong, handsome pose. Its antlers are growing rapidly now and starting to look pretty impressive. Behind him, the cityscape and beyond that, the Rocky Mountains.
