This little dude sure know how to put on a show. They have made their summer home outside the suburbs northeast of Denver. There, he stays busy hunting and just flying around. His spouse shows herself occasionally but largely spends her time in the burrow, presumably on eggs or watching nestlings. On this day two weekends ago, he was a star, giving me some very cool flights shots and poses. Here, he returns to the family home, giving a nice look at his beautiful plumage.
