I haven’t gotten much quality time with these little guys lately but this past Sunday, one did give me a nice little show. It was initially perched a good ways away, too far for quality pictures. I sat and waited, hoping it might do something interesting, maybe move closer.
Indeed, it heeded my wishes, flying up close to investigate something that had caught its interest. In doing so, it gave me a nice series of flight shots. I have not seen any little ones emerge from the family home at this burrow yet. One nearby though has nine of them!
