Such a happy face on this little guy. 😀
With the changing of the seasons, many birds have begun their migration to their winter homes. This burrowing owl, however, has opted to linger in Colorado a little while longer. I spotted it Saturday, a pleasant surprise to have one still around even if it was a bit too far off to get great captures. Soon though, it will begin heading south, likely into Mexico, for winter.
