Maverick has nothing on this guy! 😉 From my visit last weekend with this handsome fellow and his bride.
The pair put on a great show for me including giving me some of the best flights shots of burrowing owls I have ever captured. Here, the male had left the scene and was hanging out on a post 100 yards away or so. As she stayed close to home, I figured he would return soon so I had my camera ready, just waiting for him to fly in. When he did, he went slightly past the burrow then banked hard back to his target, giving me this cool look. Awesome stuff!
