Burrowing owls question their decision to return to Colorado in April

Yeah, springtime in Colorado isn’t all blue skies and sun. Snow is almost as likely as rain during the month and these seasonal visitors got to experience soon after arrival. I spotted my first burrowing owls of the season a couple of weeks ago but these are the first that I was able to get a decent picture of. In fact, today I spotted three other pairs in addition to these. Hopefully that bodes well for a fun summer photographing them and their offspring.
