During the winter, elk move to lower elevations where the living is much easier than in their normal high altitude homes and the food plentiful. Occasionally I will come across some and such was the cast this past weekend. A little herd of 10 or so was out and about including these three pretty ladies and a handsome young male. They were kind enough to stop eating breakfast long enough for me to get the capture.
