Cover your eyes if you are a wildlife prude. 😀

I’ve captured pics of a variety of critters propagating their species, but this is my first time seeing American kestrels ‘do the deed.’ This is one of my favorite local open spaces, a little bit of a haven amongst suburban sprawl (for now), and it usually yields some fun stuff.

These kestrels have been regulars in the area in recent years and I have gotten some great pics of them. I know they have a nest, likely in a tree cavity, nearby but have yet to find it. This Sunday, the pair was clearly preparing to occupy that nest and bring on the next generation.
