A pretty cool image for #FoxFriday I think. This picture actually goes back two years and is part of a sequence of images I have never shared, even if I love almost every one from that morning.
Photographing wildlife is oftentimes a balance between the desire to get ‘the shot’ and the need to be respectful of the creature and perhaps, most importantly, to protect the creature. Yes, that white fence is not unique, you can find those across the country.
I, however, did not want to risk it giving away this special animal’s location so opted to just enjoy the morning and the images I took privately. Since that time, the foxes have moved on from this spot so there is no danger to them so I am comfortable sharing it now.
Of course, as much as I hate to say it, the fact I have not photographed a single fox this year at all is part of it too! LOL! Really, I just cannot believe I have not been able to see one this year at all. Until I do, I have the memories of this day and many more to tide me over.
