Hungry, hungry moose bulls for #MooseMonday

Two of the moose bulls that I had the privilege to photograph in Wyoming last week. There were four in the area and generally they got along. Here, two didn’t mind being side-by-side grazing on the willows.

For the time being, the bulls are playing nice with each other and hanging out in bachelor herds. That will only last a few more weeks. Soon, testosterone levels will rise and hormones will rage. They will then begin scraping off that velvet and that is when the rut begins and the battles will ensue for the right to mate with the area females.
