A red fox out carousing is pretty sure something just doesn’t belong. As I haven’t really gotten any fresh fox pics for #FoxFriday, I’m jumping back to April 2023 for this one.
It was one of the best days I have ever had with these sly creatures. Arriving at dawn, the fun began almost immediately with the two foxes patrolling the area around their den. I captured a ridiculous number of pictures of them, many at close range.
I had tucked myself behind a fallen tree, keeping my movements to a minimum. As this picture showed, they seemed to be somewhat aware of my presence, but never entirely grasped that there was a human in their midst. Indeed, at one point, one of the foxes hopped right up on the log, not 10 feet from me, and never seemed to realize I was there.
