A fine subject for this Mother’s Day. Yesterday I visited my favorite bald eagle nest to check on the family. I was happy to find that mom and dad are doing a good job raising the two young ones. They are growing by leaps and bounds and are probably already about 1/2 the size of the parents.
The action was kind of light but I got some nice shots of them including this batch showing the little ones and mom standing watch. Dad must have decided to give her the day off because she didn’t do much other than that. He, on the other hand, made a couple of fish deliveries, perhaps giving her the day off and doing all the work for Mother’s Day.
