A fun shot for #MooseMonday and a bit of a throwback too dating to September 7, 2015. A friend and I (hi, Ed!) went to this spot in the Indian Peaks Wilderness in search of these forest dwellers.
We had finished up a photo session with a massive bull and were hiking back out when it started to rain. We picked up our pace but soon came to a stop. This handsome fellow was grazing on grass and getting a drink while standing in the creek, an opportunity we couldn’t resist.
We did our best to stand under trees to keep from getting too wet and while that helped, we still got quite soaked. Worth it? Oh, heck yes!
