Going back to May and an image I hadn’t shared previously. I take a LOT of pictures so oftentimes, pretty good ones get by me and I don’t pay them any attention until later. Such was the case with this capture. I was going through selecting images for my online store when this one jumped out at me.
The angle of the bird isn’t ideal but I still love the action it conveys when an osprey dives on its unsuspecting prey. Wings swept back, talons extended, nictitating membrane over the eyes closed – ready for impact! You can tell it is only a few inches above the water as its talons’ reflection enters the frame at the bottom. Fun stuff!
