A Mother’s Day visit to one of my favorite feathered moms. Yesterday morning’s weather was less than ideal with clouds and rain but I ventured out to some local spots including this one. I suspected the great horned owl owlets would have left the nest and indeed, they had. They had worked themselves into an adjacent tree, quite a ways up high. Her job not done yet, mama (presumably) was keeping watch, ensuring the little ones didn’t get into any trouble.
