From one of my many recent visits to St Vrain State Park in northern Colorado. This handsome bird was plying its way across one of the ponds. The sun was still very low on the horizon after sunrise and at one point, it passed through a spot where a gap in the trees allowed the light to shine through, illuminating it beautifully.
