A rather timely encounter with this majestic creature yesterday, allowing me a fresh image to share on this auspicious holiday. It was hanging out, keeping watch on its domain in eastern Colorado, giving me some nice poses.
The early morning light lit up our national emblem beautifully. Its stoic, regal pose is fitting as a representation of our nation’s veterans, embodying their strength, honor, courage and commitment. To my fellow veterans, thank you for your service. Whether we served together or not, I am honored to call you ‘shipmates.’
Oh, and go Navy!
