With eagle activity kind of low here in the usual spots in the Denver area, I decided to take a chance and check out a purported hot spot 80 miles northeast on the plains. I was not disappointed as there were 20 eagles or so and I was the only photographer around. The eagles out there, clearly not as used to humans as the ones in town, were quite a bit more skittish and quick to depart when I got anywhere near but I managed some nice captures nevertheless.

Taken in Morgan County, Colorado.
