A capture from back in March at an open space and pond not too far from where I live. Driving home I see what appears to be a very large bird in a tree in the middle of the area. Naturally I have to make a u-turn and go check it out and sure enough, this majestic Bald Eagle was hanging out and keeping watch on the pond.
After giving me some nice posing shots, the raptor launched into the air and I captured a nice series including this one, right at the start. The eagle did then fly to the pond, snag itself a little fish, and head off to dine in private.
