A handsome elk bull making the sounds of the season in Rocky Mountain National Park for #WapitiWednesday.
This guy was on a mission to find the ladies and made my friend and I work hard for our pictures. We initially spotted him as he crossed a meadow heading right for us and then he continued along a ridge. We repeatedly scrambled to get in front of him to get more captures, continually challenged by the terrain and trees. In the end we got a nice batch of images including this closeup.
