Trio of moose bulls hang out above the timberline

A very fun, but somewhat distant, encounter from last weekend and perfect to share for #MooseMonday.

I had hoped to see moose on this day, expecting that if I did it would be at lower elevations. There were none to be found down there but, climbing above 10,000 feet, I was greeted by these three. They were grazing on willows and seeming to enjoy the mild, summertime temperatures. One of the three was absolutely massive, quite a beast.

As I say, these were taken from a long ways away, probably 200 yards, so the images are heavily cropped. Nevertheless, it was a treat to see them.
