January 18, 2013 – Watchful hawk. Hawks tend to be very elusive to capture in photos – at least they are for me. It seems like they have a knack for knowing when I am nearby and do their best to avoid me. 😉
This particular one was very cooperative and sat for quite a while in a tree at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal. The tree branches are busy but the bright, Colorado blue sky behind helps to make it a nice image.
