An elk bull putting the moves on a cow this past weekend, whispering in her ear and trying to reassure her that his love is for real.
The rut is pretty much over as evidenced by this scene. There was a herd of 40 or so elk gathered all together. Most were cows but there were a half dozen or so bulls and while the boys did a little half-hearted sparring, it was clear they were spent and the annual event is pretty much over.
