A great horned owl squints against the bright light of the morning sun. Another check on my local great horned owls. This time I was able to spot both of them so she is not on the nest – yet. Here, one very briefly and very slightly opened its eyes, awakening from its slumber. Hey, when you are up all night playing around, you sleep when you can!
