This time of year, coyotes get quite active and are much more tolerant of humans. I’ve seen them pretty frequently in recent weeks, this one from late last month. It was working its way along a drainage, seemingly looking for a meal. At one point it stopped the hunt and looked up, giving me this nice capture in the grass. You get a real feel for how well they blend into the landscape this time of year.
