Whoohoo! My favorite pair of bald eagles are back for another season and with eggs already laid.
I arrived at the nest this past Saturday to see mama hanging out away from home but soon she returned and grabbed some grasses to add to the family home. When she did, it was then that dad emerged from the nest, having been keeping the eggs warm, tucked out of sight. A changing of the guard then took place and he departed for a bit, bringing a stick when he returned.
I ended up getting some nice shots of the comings and goings of the pair, these pics showing each of them.
