
Three’s company with this bald eagle family apparently. This is the tenth season for this nest and I have observed it from the start in 2017. Last year was the first year for the parents to fledge three young ones. This year, they are looking to be on track for a repeat of that somewhat rare feat.
When I visited Saturday, two nestlings were readily visible most of the time. Every now and then though, I would get a flash of motion in the middle of the nest indicating there was a third. Once home and looking at my pics, it became apparent there is indeed a number three. Awesome!
