A red tailed hawk checking out the photographer directly below. These hawks are usually pretty skittish but this one was extraordinarily tolerant yesterday. It and its mate were hanging out at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge. As I pulled forward to get a better shot of the other, I realized I was directly underneath this one, something it clearly was well aware of.
