Normally marmots pretty much ignore the human interlopers that visit their high-altitude homes as long as we don’t get too close but this one decided to play shy. After realizing it had been spotted, it briefly ducked below some rocks out of sight. Cautiously, it then peeked around the rock, giving me this cute shot.
