Longtime followers of this page will recognize this spot, one of my absolutely favorites. If you have my Landscapes calendar, you are looking at an older image of this same spot for December.
This farm is actually the Agricultural Heritage Center in Boulder County, Colorado. From the east of it, you get the most amazing view of it and the Rocky Mountains behind. Most notably, Mount Meeker front and center and the more famous Longs Peak just behind and to the right of it.
On this morning a couple of weeks ago, I once again knew I had to stop and take pictures of the scene. The clouds were hanging low over the mountains, just partially obscuring the very tops of Meeker and Longs while above the clouds, that clear blue Colorado sky was shining. Yeah, this is the kind of scene that makes me thankful to live in Colorado.
