A cold winter’s day Bald Eagle

And it was indeed COLD on this mid-January day!  Post-dawn temperatures were only in the low 20s making it more than just a bit uncomfortable for the photographer. But, when there are Bald Eagles involved, I couldn’t care less about the weather conditions. 😉 This fantastic one was keeping close watch on a prairie dog colony, undoubtedly anticipating breakfast. Taken in Adams County, Colorado.
