Taken during a chance encounter with these cool creatures in Arapaho National Forest a few weeks ago. While the other female and two bulls in the same area didn’t mind having their picture taken, this cow was decidedly much more shy. She chose to stay hidden behind nearby trees, only sticking her head out every now and then to see if I was still there.
