Quite the handsome fellow, eh? I happened across this great example of North America’s smallest falcon recently and it provided to be quite a willing photo subject. It was keeping watch over a field and didn’t mind me one bit. I was able to circle around it and get a ton of cool captures from just about every angle. Only once did it give me a direct look, shown in this image. You get a look at that amazing plumage the male’s of the species are known for and those small but deadly talons.
