Always entertaining creatures, I spent a good bit of time with these little guys this past weekend in the rarified air above 14,000 feet. The ultimate goal was to get shots of them running back and forth with food and den material but I struggled getting any quality captures of the action.
However, as I sat in the field of boulders, many of the pika were quite willing to stop and pose, including this one. I really loved the colors of the capture with that typically gorgeous Colorado blue sky as a backdrop.
