Kind of a fun shot from last weekend. This local handsome bald eagle and its mate have returned to a spot they like to hang out at during the off-season. Each had taken up a spot on poles so that, of course, required me to stop and observe.
A flock of starlings flew in and landed on the wires. The eagle seemed a bit perturbed at the noisy neighbors and all their fluttering around. While I am sure he knew he was unlikely to catch one, he may very well have been tempted to try just to teach the annoying little birds a lesson. 😉
